Seafarers' guide
Seafarers’ guide

The Seafarers’ guide tool provides a visual representation of data from site measurements of the indoor air quality on ships. For comparison, the representation includes similar measurements from general indoor environments. A subgroup of parameters also shows results from measurements of seafarers’ personal exposure, compared to workers in other occupations.

How to use the guide

Select a desired parameter from the drop-down menu Measured parameter on the left. Results are provided in boxplots The edges of the box represent the 25 and 75 percentiles, respectively. The line in the box represents the median value, where half of the observations lie above and half below. The "whiskers" indicate the 10 and 90 percentiles, respectively. The single points on the diagram show the outliers. Red dashed lines represent guideline values, or a range of values, for general indoor environments.
